VW Up! 拿下2012 World Car of the Year頭銜
今年2012 World Car of the Year的票選結果出爐， VW Up!得到了此項頭銜；而相對得到World Performance Car of the Year(性能車)頭銜的是 Porsche 911，World Car Design of the Year(設計)頭銜的是 Range Rover Evoque。在World Green Car of the Year(綠能)的評選部份，是由
Mercedes-Benz S 250 CDI BlueEfficency中選。
VW Up!在去年的 法蘭克福車展上首度亮相，之後就成為歐洲市場上，最受注目、且具影響力的小車之一；它在 VAG集團內還有兩款孿生兄弟，就是： Skoda Citigo、以及 Seat Mii。
在VW品牌來說，最近的四屆World Car of the Year評選，就有三次是被VW的車款拿下頭銜；除了去年的得主是 Nissan Leaf，之前2009是 Golf得獎、而2010則是 Polo。
